Billing (Hourly and Contract)

We have two types of billing available: hourly and contract. Generally small maintenance tasks such as updates and simple revisions would be billed hourly and larger projects such as entire site designs would be contract work. We also offer discounted prices to non-profits and schools.

Hourly:
Our fees differ depending on the particular task. We will do a free consultation to see exactly what kind of work you will need and what the billing rate will be, but generally our fee for  design work is $30 an hour, and programming is $40 an hour.

Contract:
The cost of contract work differs greatly depending on the scope of the project. We will do a free consultation call with you to figure out your web site needs, and give you a quote  based on the results of that call. An average web site site might cost around $500 - $2000, but could be more or less depending on the amount of work that needs to be completed and the features that you would like to see on your site.

Our Process

The process begins when you contact us about web work. August On Mars will send you a web scope document asking a few questions to help us better understand what you have in mind. Once we receive the completed form and review the information, we will schedule a consultation call with you. Then we will finalize the initial information and sign the contract,  so we can start working on your site! Depending on the complexity of your site, it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months to achieve completion. You will recieve an estimated timeline prior to signing the contract. We will be in contact with you at several points throughout the design and development project to make sure that your site looks and works exactly how you want it to!
